At The Florian Hotel, we care deeply about our planet, nature, and all who call it home.

From the very first day of construction to the moment we welcome each guest, sustainability has been at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to operate as responsibly and sustainably as possible across every aspect of our hotel. Below you’ll find an overview of our key initiatives.

Cleaning & Maintenance

We carefully select our cleaning and maintenance partners to ensure that all products used throughout the hotel are free from harmful chemicals and toxins.
We are also proud partners of Hotels for Trees, an initiative that transforms the savings from reduced room cleanings into newly planted trees — allowing your stay to contribute directly to a greener planet.

Food & Beverages

We believe that good food nourishes both people and the planet. Our kitchen is trying to source only local products, to support the small business around the hotel.
We also bottle our own purified water to significantly reduce plastic waste. All our coffee and tea are UTZ certified, ensuring ethical and sustainable production.
Whenever possible, we offer Dutch-made spirits, beers, and wines, supporting local producers. To minimize food waste, we collaborate with Too Good To Go, giving surplus breakfast items a second life instead of letting them go to waste.

Interior & Building Design

Sustainability is embedded in our building design and daily operations. From energy-saving windows that help regulate indoor climate to toxin-free mattresses and eco-friendly construction materials — every detail was chosen with care.
Our hotel incorporates numerous water- and energy-saving measures, ensuring our environmental footprint remains as small as possible while maintaining the comfort and style our guests expect.
